In this workshop, students will get a detailed look into what the major jewelry supply brands offer in terms of polishing wheels and brushes. The focus will be on polishing tools that can be used in a flex shaft that do not require the use of polishing compounds.
Students will learn different tips and tricks that should help them save time. There will be a selection of polishing tools provided for students to test out and attendees will leave with a comprehensive product comparison list including details on where all items discussed can be purchased.

This class will be taught by Carmen McNeil of Chroma Rocks Jewelry. She is a resident artist and teacher at KP Studio.
Polishing Workshop, Friday, July 26, 11am-1pm
To use open studio you must have taken our beginning jewelry class or an equivalent class at another studio.
You must be able to work independently. There will be a studio monitor on site but they are not available for personal instruction during open studio. If you feel you need more assistance, you can schedule a private lesson or sign up for the project based open studio.
Tools are available for you to use. Please return tools to where you found them so that others can use them as well. Please do not remove tools from the instructor's bench.
Report any damaged or broken tools/equipment immediately.
You must wear closed toed shoes to participate in classes, workshops, and open studio. If you do not have on closed toed shoes you will not be allowed to work in the studio.
Hair that is shoulder length or longer must be pulled back when using the flex shaft or torch.
Do not arrive more than 15 minutes prior to class or you will be asked to utilize your studio time.
Please be courteous and clean up your work area before leaving the studio.
