Prong Setting
This class is in person for 4 Weeks, 3 hours/week. If you do not live in Phoenix or can not participate in person, you can visit our online classes. Maximum class size of 6 students.
Class cost: $315 plus materials. Castings, most burs, metal for practice and tools are icluded in the price of the class. Materials to be purchased at SJ Jewelry Supply are approximately $100-$150

In this class students will learn to use multiple burs to cut a seat for a round faceted stone. Students will learn to set stones in a cast ring, semi-fabricated ring and a fully fabricated ring. Students will be fabricating a prong setting from sterling silver and will learn to modify tools and make a setting tool.
The following techniques will be covered:
*advanced soldering *faceted stone anatomy
*tool modifcation *bur control
*tool making *stone setting
You receive 10 hours of studio time with this class. Studio time must be used within 90 days of the last class.

PREREQUISITE: Intermediate Jewelry at KP Studio or an equivalent at another jewelry studio. Students MUST have learned tube setting. It is highly recommended that you complete our flush setting class prior to taking this class.

Class/Workshop Cancellations
No refunds are given for cancellations.
Cancellations received at least 1 week prior to the start of class will receive a credit to use in a future class or workshop. Credits must be used within 3 months from date of cancellation.
Cancellations received less that 1 week from the start of class will NOT receive a credit or refund.
Exception: If KP Studio cancels a class or workshop, you will have a choice between a credit or a 100% refund.
